He should in a few hours Apple to introduce to the world his first smart home display, which he would like to create the brain for a smart home built on HomeKit whether Matter standard. Specifically, we are talking about a device called HomeView, which will offer, for example, a 6" display, the ability to recognize you using the camera or show you a lot of information from native Apple applications, including Home, Calendar, Photos, Reminders, and so on. But how much will this new feature cost?

Just the price HomeThe View is honestly one of the biggest mysteries of this product. While technical specifications, colors, and design have already been leaked, there is still speculation about the price, even in connection with the competition, which already offers similar products relatively cheaply. LeakHowever, experts agree that the device could cost around $350, but it is not entirely clear whether it will be a basic wall-mounted version or a higher-end version with a speaker in the base.

In both cases, however, the price is relatively high, especially considering the competition. For example Amazon its smart home display Echo Show 8, created de facto for the same purposes for which it will be created HomeView (although of course primarily for Alexa instead HomeKitua Siri) can be found for around $180. So if the price for Apple HomeView confirms that the Californian giant will try to reposition the device in the premium segment.

What is quite interesting is that for $349, which would Apple could sell the new product, it is also offered Magic Keyboard for 13" iPad Pro. So if we were to take into account that Apple sets an equivalent price in the rest of the world, for the Czech Republic it would mean that HomeView could cost 9190 CZK, in the EU it would then cost 399 EuroIt would definitely not be a cheap affair, and the question is how successful this product could be.

And precisely in view of the fact that Apple needs the device to do well in the store and really spark interest in smart homes among users, I would personally expect the price tag to be significantly lower and secretly hope that the previous predictions are wrong. ProAfter all, this will be a completely new type of device that users will have to find their way to, and it is therefore crucial that this imaginary journey is as pleasant as possible in all directions.
