As a fan of smart home, I was really looking forward to today's presentation of the new products. However, I must honestly say that I am quite disappointed with them. Yes, some of the improvements are interesting and I would like them, but on the other hand, I have to say that the price is Apple On the one hand, he was quite out of line and on the other hand, it seems to me that in some cases he didn't even think much. If I add to that the fact that due to the lack of support Siri AI will not be available in the European Union HomeView and unsurprisingly neither HomeUnder mini 2, after today's presentation of the news, I have a really unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth that I will probably have to get rid of for quite some time.

The most anticipated news of the day was undoubtedly HomeView, which is quite interesting in terms of design and functionality, although perhaps not as "wow" as many of us dreamed of. But the function can of course Apple still need to fine-tune the software, so there's no point in criticizing them completely. What I find really bizarre, however, is the unavailability on the European market, even though the product would work fine there even without using Siri AI, is the price for which it Apple sells.

I absolutely do not understand how it is possible that we can buy the version with and without the speaker base for $299. Logically, I would expect the wall-mounted version to be either cheaper or to come with a mounting bracket, but that is not the case. On the contrary, you have to buy it (unless you want to make your own solution) for at least another $59,95, so this whole thing is a waste of money.onec will cost at least $358,95 excluding tax. For that amount you get a device with probably worse sound and only two colors variainstead of four, in which the version with the classic base is offered. So for me, it really is nonsense and something that bothers me quite a bit.

Another raised finger is then Apple TV 4K, which has become more expensive again after the recent increase in the price of the older generation. Apple is now charging $299 for it, and CZK 7990 in the Czech Republic. As I wrote in my article a few dozen minutes ago, it is realistically Apple TV in less than twelve months you will get almost twice as expensive, which seems absolutely crazy to me – especially when I realize what it actually is Apple TV as such it handles it. And I say this as someone who has it on literally every day and consumes TV, streaming services, music through it, but also looks at photos and the like. Even for me, as an intensive user, such a price jump simply doesn't make sense.

It seems quite strange to me too Apple Home Collection of smart home accessories, which is again quite expensive, and there are relatively few products, but what's most important - even though I've read quite a bit about it, I don't see any significant added value compared to products that are already on the market. Sure, the ability to control everything just through Home without the need for any accompanying application is certainly nice, as is easy pairing and so on. But I wonder if it's not a bit too little and if the expectations were simply a bit higher. In my case, they certainly were.

The only bright exception today is for me HomePod mini 2, which will be sold for $149, which is the price that the previous generation also recently went up to. However, I won't forgive myself for them. miniat least that if you want to put together a four-channel audio, which is newly supported by a new generation Apple TV, it will be quite expensive as a whole. For a new Apple TV namely, you give the aforementioned $299 and add $149 four times, all without tax. Assuming you don't have two at home Home2nd generation pods or ideally four, so you can compose the leftmost surround sound from four HomePods mini 2 will cost $895 without tax, and that's a real bargain.

Bottom line, sum up – Apple showed that they are not afraid of high prices. Now it is just a question of how users will react to them. According to the first reactions on social networks, which I have read in the last few minutes, they are quite upset about the prices and I would not be surprised if the newly introduced novelties did not score points for the store. On the other hand, it is true that if I broke it now Apple TV 4K (2017) and I couldn't find an older model for a good price, as a result I'm so used to this device that I would buy the new model despite the crazy price. And maybe for these upgrades Apple relies on the most. And how are you feeling today?
