In recent years, LEGO has been proving more and more that when it comes to giant exhibition sets intended for adult fans, there are practically no limits to imagination. In addition to various castles, historical buildings or famous monuments, a really big trip to Italy is now being planned. The first photos of the upcoming LEGO Icons Venetian Neighborhood set have leaked onto the Internet, which will take us straight to romantic Venice. And I have to say that if you like elaborate architectural models, this will quite possibly be one of the most interesting new releases this fall.

The new item is to be called LEGO Icons 11388 Venetian Neighborhood and according to information published leakerem DarthBeard Brix will offer a respectable 5682 pieces. The price is expected to be around $549,99, and the kit should go on sale in November of this year. LEGO has not yet officially introduced the model, but photos have been released on the Internet that capture not only the kit itself, but even its box. Thanks to this, we have a fairly good idea of what we can look forward to.

And there will definitely be no shortage of it. According to leaked photos, LEGO has decided to create a relatively large Venetian scene, dominated by two historic buildings separated by a canal. On the left side we find a beautiful building with typical Venetian arches, decorated windows, balconies and roofs in brick red. There is also a smaller turret with a dome, which gives the entire model an unmistakable Venetian look. The right part consists of a tall clock tower topped with a green dome, which makes the entire kit interesting in terms of height.

Venice with everything. Even gondolas are included

But by far the most interesting part is the space between the two buildings. LEGO has created a small canal with a typical Venetian gondola, crossed by an elegant stone bridge. Around it we find railings, lamps, wooden poles protruding from the water and of course a number of miniThe photographs show a gondolier with a long oar, several tourists and other characters who pleasantly enliven the whole scene.

The details of the individual buildings are also worth noting. On the left, for example, you can see a ground-floor business with seating and a green awning, while the upper floors have elaborate balconies. Another interesting element is the tree growing next to the bridge, which brings the whole scene to life in color. LEGO also won with the water surface made of transparent blue pieces, thanks to which the model looks much more alive than in the case of a regular blue base.

Overall, the kit resembles a combination of a large architectural model and a classic LEGO street, which fans can display next to modular buildings, for example. However, we do not yet know whether Venetian Neighborhood will be directly compatible with them. It also remains a question of how elaborate the interiors of both buildings will be, because the leaked photos so far show mainly the front of the model. However, if the number of 5682 pieces is confirmed, there should definitely be room for a good portion of details that are not visible in the first photos. And I think that will be one of the most interesting things at the official presentation.

As for the price, the amount of $549,99 is definitely not low, on the other hand, it is necessary to take into account the size of the entire kit and its architectural sophistication. At the moment, we do not know the Czech price or the exact release date. However, if LEGO really plans to start sales in November, the official reveal should not bechat too long to wait. And personally, I have to say that I really enjoy Venetian Neighborhood in the first photos. This time, LEGO is not focusing on just one dominant building, but on a whole small scene that can capture the atmosphere of Venice much better. If the interiors are also well done, this could be one of the most successful architectural LEGO sets of this year.
