Your main priorities – that is maximal security and user privacy – confirmed Apple at the one introduced six months ago iOS 13 with a new feature in the form of a pop-up window, alerting users to the use of location services by third-party applications in the background. Thanks to this, Apple users now have an excellent overview of what the application knows about their location and if they think their “knowledge” is too much, they can easily cut it off by banning it. However, this new feature was not met with an entirely ideal reception either, and Apple is criticized for it.
The Wall Street Journal portal focused on criticism of the new security function, according to which it is a thorn in the side not only for some regular users, but also for developers. According to the magazine, they are very worried that pop-up windows informing about the use of location services of applications may in the end discourage users from using applications, as they are supposed to appear too often, even if users have location services enabled for the given application. Subsequently, some regular users also described the pop-up window as annoying.

However, every coin has two sides and although there is some criticism on one side of this coin, the other shines with satisfaction. Applu from a truly significantly improved management of location services. According to a spokesperson for the Californian giant, after the introduction of the new feature, the amount of location data collected by applications was reduced by about 70%, which is an almost unbelievable number. And it was enough to “just” help users properly set up applications that use location services. There is definitely no question of an unnecessary improvement.
just let it pop up nicely, at least I can clearly see which applications are constantly connecting to location services and going to the trash, especially applications that have nothing in common with location services...
I'm more bothered by the constant struggle with acceptance. cookYes, I would like to kick the person who came up with this in... Firefox has a plugin for auto-acceptance, but in Safari I'm lost ☹️
It also bothers me, but only on pages where it pops up at me across the entire screen and I have to click it off, otherwise on most pages only a small tab appears at the edge, which usually doesn't bother me.
adguard solves it, blocks ads etc cookies requirements
To be honest, the pop-up bothers me a lot, mainly because it appears three times in one application. When you have a locator tag where it's clear that you need the location and this window pops up once every 3 days, it's useless. But this is also the case with other applications where I have it turned on purposefully.
Some sites that support it can be fooled by "show reader" in safari.
It also bothers me a lot because it keeps asking about the same application. ProNo, when I've already clicked x-times that I want the app to use location services 🙁
