Although the Slovaks saw the launch Apple Pay in their homeland only relatively recently, unlike many domestic banks, the local banks are certainly not waiting for its support. In the first wave, its support was brought by four banks - specifically J&T Banka banka Slovenská spořitelna, Tatra banka, mBank, which were joined after a few weeks by 365 Banka and Poštovná banka. And another famous name with support is apparently going to be drawn very soon.

The Slovak UniCredit Bank has already prepared a website, which it will provide to its clients after the official launch of the Apple payment service as a guide to activation and at the same time a source of all important information. This page is not yet public and cannot be found, for example, by searching the bank's website. However, after rewriting a few words in the address, it can be accessed very easily. You can visit it directly here.

Page dedicated to Apple Pay from the UniCredit workshop are practically no different from those of competitors. You will find on it both instructions for adding a card, as well as instructions for the payment itself or basic information about why it is good Apple Pay use or what everything allows. Clients of this bank can be sure that on the dedicated page Apple Pay they will find everything they need. But the question is how the launch will take place. When UniCredit started supporting a few days ago Apple Pay in the Czech Republic, it was done without any fanfare. The bank only informed about it with a rather inconspicuous banner on its website and a day later with a press release. Compared to competing banks from both the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the promotion of the service can be described as almost zero.

It is difficult to say at this point when the Slovak UniCredit will decide to launch the service. However, if it already has a similar page ready, it is quite likely that we are only days away from this moment, maxweeks. At least this scenario occurred in the Czech Republic, where many banks made a similar mistake – adding a non-public page dedicated to Apple Pay to their website - they "burned out" even before it was launched.
