Today's launch Apple Pay put a smile on the lips of many a Czech apple grower. Not to either. After all, we have been waiting for the service to become operational in our country, despite the fact that we have long been among the powerhouses in contactless payment, for four and a half years. To run Apple Pay in the first country, which was of course the USA, the Californian giant decided already on October 20, 2014. Many of you are from Czech Apple Pay even so carried away that in the comments under our articles you express great hopes for the arrival of Czech-speaking Siri or Prague Apple Store. Exactly those of you will be disappointed by the following lines. The fulfillment of these hopes now seems really unlikely.

Startup Apple Pay in the Czech Republic, heralding the arrival of a Czech-speaking Siri It certainly can't be taken. Just look at the languages Siri and support Apple Pay around the world and it must be clear to you right away that there is really no connection between these services. There are countries that Siri speaks their native language, but Apple Pay will not enjoy it, but so will the states that have it exactly the opposite. A great example can be Poland, which already Apple Pay been using it for some time, but in Polish Siri neither sight nor hearing. On the contrary, such Dutch people are already Siri speaks their native language for some time, but with the support of Apple Pay they are still waiting. Therefore, the functionality of one service in a given country cannot be considered as a guarantee that the other service will also be available in that country, and vice versa.

That you Siri to the Czech Republic and, by extension, nowhere else in the foreseeable future can also be inferred from the fact that it has not learned any new languages in the last few years and is still "fluent" in "only" 21 languages. Instead, its developers are apparently trying to improve its functions to make its use much more pleasant and useful for users, because its users will be able to entrust it with more complicated tasks. It is therefore clear that Apple will now rather try to improve its functioning in already established languages than to try to satisfactorily put a new language into operation, with which of course there is much more work to be done.

Did you know that you Siri you can also enjoy it on Apple Watch?:

But we should also realize how big a country we are and how many of us would Siri was really used intensively in its normal functioning. So let's pour ourselves some pure wine. Would it be millions or perhaps hundreds of thousands of users? Probably not. Although in the Czech Republic it is Apple relatively popular among customers, we are still a very small market with our approximately 10 million inhabitants, in which Apple most certainly do not hold. Moreover, it is practically clear that many of us would not use the Czech Siri after a few months or weeks it would get tired and its user base would decrease significantly. I would rather not guess whether it would be in the tens of thousands of people or hundreds of thousands. However, both of these numbers are really insignificant compared to foreign users and it is so clear that Apple rather please users who Siri used in English, with new improvements, as this step will simply bring much greater benefit than creating a Czech Siri pro a few (hundred thousand) enthusiasts.

Bottom line, sum up - launch Apple Pay in the Czech Republic to be considered the vanguard of the Czech Siri It is definitely not possible, even though we would really like it. So all we can do is wait and hope that Apple in the future to pay for a Czech language course for Siri she decides and we will talk to her in her mother tongue after all. Until then, at least this will have to be enough for us Apple Pay.
