Lately, we can feel that many things and services around us are constantly becoming more expensive. Then it's always nice to save a few crowns here and there. The increase in price also applies to energy, of course. Soon, however, thanks to an application from a student at the University of Technology in Brno, we will be able to save on energy.

The Energram application was developed by student Valeria Maksimovičová in response to the need to introduce so-called "smart meters" from 2020, from which data will be downloaded using Wi-Fi. So there will be no more need to read data from electricity meters. The Energram application will then download this data and direct it into clear graphs. At the same time, it will try to advise the user on how to save money - for example, it will advise on buying more energy-efficient light bulbs.
"The application is called Energram and shows the consumer their energy efficiency in percentages. It evaluates the level of consumption and its effectiveness. It is able to point out that the user has already overdone it with energy consumption on a given day, or, conversely, how much they have saved, " the student told the daily Právo. With this project, she won the international competition The Energy Transition Business Camp, which featured projects from the energy sector across the world.
Thanks to the new application, we will be able to monitor our energy consumption simply via iPhone:
Energram will also function as a kind of social network. Users will be able to share energy consumption data with each other and compete with each other. The student hopes that with this smart solution, many more people will get involved in nature conservation and reduce pointless energy waste. Hopefully, her vision will come true. We can have clarity about this in about a year, when the application should officially arrive in App Storu a Google Play.
Well, such a cap won't save you a penny. When will it beonePeople need to start thinking for themselves and stop relying on apps. This is just another, cleverly hidden, sales and appeasement channel.
Let him stick it in his hat! Nonsense.
So wish her that. She's a student, so appreciate that she's doing something. A large part of the population does nothing at all. In addition, she is certainly pretty, if she is from Moravia :-)
I don't understand the hateful comments. It will definitely be nice to have an overview of the consumption on the phone... Of course, we won't save thanks to the application, but the consumption overviews can force someone to think about how to save energy.
Unless it's because you don't understand the difference between "hostile" and "critical", but it's actually not allowed to criticize these days, is it? That could traumatize the criticized, right? Perhaps you should think about the fact that real energy savings do not lie in households, where you can save a few kWh, which is a few crowns a year. The real energy savings lie elsewhere.
All of you who write negative comments must have an idea of how much energy you burn every day, right? Pro It will definitely be nice for me to have an overview of how much I burn every day and to think about whether it is really necessary and whether I could save some money ;-) Of course, the app won't save energy, but it will at least force you to think for a moment ;-)
Maybe you should take care of your "overview" in spelling rather than energy. ;-)
You only get total data from the electricity meter, yes arranged in a timeline, but otherwise it doesn't tell you anything at all. This is because you would have to have each individual appliance equipped with a separate meter, and that is the same nonsense as, for example, the uncritical promotion of electric cars as a one-size-fits-all solution. But the fact that in a few years you will have to dispose of car batteries with a high energy demand, which are highly dangerous waste, is something that many people do not want to see anymore. Or as advice "replace the refrigerator with a new one with 30% less consumption". But the fact that many times more energy was used to produce the "new" refrigerator than the "extra" old refrigerator will consume during its lifetime is somehow not thought about anymore. Etc, etc. :-)
And is it a problem to write down the electricity meter reading every month, week, day, even today? I've been doing it for years with my gas meter. All you need is a spreadsheet and enter the events (it started to freeze, it got warmer, we're home when I'm on holiday for Christmas...). It's sad that so many people have to resort to such useless things to become more informed about their lives. Of course, I have my electrical appliances measured with a wattmeter both in operation and in standby mode.
sorry, but no one will really "have" an overview :-)
