The Chinese company Xiaomi is celebrating its 8th anniversary this year, and on this occasion, it will introduce the Xiaomi Mi 31 device on May 8st, which we could call a bit like a Chinese iPhone X. The manufacturer copied the vertically oriented camera and the notch at the top of the display from the Californian giant, but the list of copied things doesn't end there. Similar to iPhone X, as well as the Xiaomi Mi 8, has a facial recognition system, thanks to which Xiaomi created its own version of Animoji.

Xiaomi posted a post on the social network Weibo, hinting that it would bring a big wave of cuteness, referring to animated emoji that look similar to Animoji from Applu. Xiaomi will offer a lot of cute animals including its own mascot. In the galleries below this paragraph you can compare the original Animoji from Applu with those prepared by Xiaomi.

This is what Animoji look like from Applu:

At this point, the Xiaomi Mi 8 device does not seem to bring anything revolutionary, only the Chinese company blindly copied Apple, as well as for example Samsung and Asus. However, the Xiaomi Mi 8 will not start selling in the US market yet, due to patent infringement.

In terms of hardware, it has a Snapdragon 845 chip from Qualcomm, 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. In terms of software, it will run on Android 8.1 Oreo. It is expected to go on sale in early June and cost $470.
