Like every year, hackers from all over the world gathered at the PWN2OWN conference to crack the security of the most used software on phones and computers. In the case of Internet browsers, hackers often manage to discover new security flaws in Safari, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox. As reported by ThreatPost, a browser from the company Apple developers and hackers managed to break through the very next day.
With this, Keen from China discovered two serious WebKite security flaws in the browser Safari, which allowed him to run any code and thus bypass the security component of OS X. However, Keen claims that the protection of OS X itself is difficult to break because this system is very secure: "Operating system from Apple it is very secure and has a very good security architecture. Even if you discover a security hole, it is difficult to use it. Today we demonstrated this with the help of advanced software, and even though we managed to hack the system, OS X's security is higher than other systems." declared Keen team member Liang Chen. The hacking team took home $40 for discovering the bug and another $000 for cracking Adobe Flash.
In doing so, he declared that part of the money venuis to help people whose relatives were on the lost Malaysian flight Airlines MH370. Similar to the past, this time the conference was also attended by representatives Applu, who took away knowledge about bugs from the meeting, which she will then sell to the development team Safari in Cupertino. In the future, we can expect an update that will remove these errors.
