Today we are you informed about that Apple started selling a new generation of iMac computers. In countries where brick-and-mortar stores are available Apple Store Customers could already go get their new computers today, so it's no surprise that the Geekbench performance test of the new iMacs also appeared on Primate Labs. ProOf course, the values are only known for the 21,5″ models, which, unlike the 27″, actually started selling today. Those interested in larger iMacs will have to wait a little longer. miniAt least a fortnight. The performance tests of the new iMac are now in the world and the 21,5″ iMac model in the highest custom configuration manages to beat its last year's counterpart by 25% and is even about 10% more powerful than last year's 27″ iMac in a higher configuration.

However, if we look at the base configurations, i.e. the higher 2,9Ghz and lower 2,7GHz configurations of the 21,5″ iMac, we find that the results are almost the same as last year’s models. What is very interesting, however, is the fact that the new Mac mini are more powerful than the basic iMac, even though the iMac is almost twice as expensive. There are also a few results from the 27″ iMac in the tests, which come from journalists or directly from Applu. It seems that the iMac with a 27″ display will outperform last year's 27″ model by about 15%. Geekbench measures the so-called raw performance of the computer and it is possible that in specific tasks the intergenerational difference will be more noticeable. However, when it comes to raw hardware performance, the difference between the previous and current generation is not that significant.
