The iMac (Late 2012 model) was introduced in October 2012. It featured 21,5-inch and 27-inch widescreen displays, Intel Core i5 processors (3330S – 21,5-inch varianta/3470S – 21,5-inch varianta/3470 – 27 inch varianta) with frequencies of 2,7, 2,9 and 3,2 GHz and Intel Core i7 (3770S – 21,5-inch varianta/3770 – 27 inch varianta) with a clock speed of 3,1 and 3,4 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, a 1 TB hard drive, a GeForce GT 640M graphics card (21,5-inch varianta with 2,7GHz processor), GeForce GT 650M (21,5-inch varianta with 2,9 and 3,1GHz processor) and GeForce GTX 675MX (27-inch varianta with 3,2 and 3,4GHz processors) and a FaceTime video camera. Compared to previous models, it had a significantly thinner body (measuring only 5 mm at its thinnest point), which was partly made possible by a process called full lamination (the display and glass are laminated together, eliminating the 2mm gap between them).
