Remember the legendary desktop pets that used to roam around computer screens years ago? This idea is now making a comeback in a modern twist. Pets Therapy – Desktop Pets is an application for macOS and Windows, which turns an ordinary desktop into a more lively place full of cute pixel companions.
This is not just a simple decoration. The pets walk between the windows, rest, eat, fly or sometimes surprise you with a small animation. The result is a small digital companion that can make everyday work more enjoyable and add a bit of personality to your computer. You can see for yourself in the following video.

More than 75 pixel pets
One of the biggest advantages of Pets Therapy – Desktop Pets is the wide selection of characters. The application offers more than 75 different desktop pets – from dogs and cats to capybaras, pandas, llamas, penguins and parrots, to unicorns and other fantasy creatures.
Each pet has its own animations and behavior. Some run around windows, others fly across the monitor, or simply lie down and rest. This makes them not just repetitive animations, but little digital companions that add character to your desktop.
Nostalgia that doesn't get in the way of work
Although it may seem like simple entertainment at first glance, Pets Therapy – Desktop Pets was designed to be unobtrusive while you work. The pets move unobtrusively in the background and work alongside commonly used applications.
A big part of the charm is the hand-drawn pixel art, reminiscent of classic games from the 90s. It's the combination of a nostalgic look and subtle animations that makes the app a nice addition for anyone who spends several hours a day at the computer.
Pets Therapy – Desktop Pets is available for Mac and Windows
The good news is that Pets Therapy – Desktop Pets is not only intended for Mac users. In addition to the version for MacOS is also available for Windows, so pixel desktop pets can be enjoyed by users of both of the most popular computer platforms.
Whatever you use MacBook, iMac or computer with Windows, the application offers the same experience – cute animated pets that will liven up your desktop and create a more pleasant environment for everyday computer use.
The Mac version can be found at Mac App Storewhile users Windows can download the application from Microsoft StoreOn the official website of the project, there are samples of a few pets, information about individual features and other news.
