When Apple released last week watchOS 27.0.1, its availability was quite a surprise at the time. Originally, only new Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, which was supposed to fix an issue with unexpected reboots. However, tonight Apple made available watchOS 27.0.1 also for everyone else Apple Watch supporting watchOS 27, so if you have a compatible watch, you should already see the update in the companion Watch app, specifically in the Settings - General - Software Update section.

While the original release for Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 we knew that one of the reasons for the update was spontaneous restarts, with the current extension it is Apple considerably more concise. In the notes to the publication, he only states that watchOS 27.0.1 brings bug fixes for Apple Watch, while the company does not list any specific security fixes. So it is not entirely clear what has changed on older models.

So if you have one of the supported models and you last week watchOS 27.0.1 was searched in vain in the update menu, it should be available to you now. Don't expect any new features from it - this time it is purely a minor patch update after the arrival watchOS 27.
