tvOS 27 has been publicly available for about two weeks, but it is only now that Apple decided to publish its official release notes and de facto officially reveal what it has "loaded" into the system. And it must be admitted that the news is relatively minor, but quite interesting. The list of new features includes, for example, support for Hi-Res Lossless, AutoMix, video podcasts, faster AirPlay or the ability to lock individual applications.

So if you're already using tvOS 27, you may have noticed some of these changes yourself. But the official list nicely shows that although this year Apple tvOS didn't make nearly as much noise as its other systems, Apple TV 4K has received some pretty handy improvements. Just a reminder that tvOS 27 requires Apple TV 4K 2nd generation or later, so if like me you are still using Apple TV 4K 1st generation (i.e. 2017 model), you're out of luck with the update.
