The book was written by Ethan Mollick and its original title is Co-Intelligence. Ethan is an associate professor at Wharton and a renowned researcher in the field of AI. He is simply the kind of person you would want to read a book from, and he has the gift of actually being able to write. The book is written in a very simple way, but at the same time you will find that they go deeper and deeper into the world of AI. It doesn't matter how advanced a user you are, this book doesn't give you instructions on how to use AI and how to write the best prompts. On the contrary, this book will guide you through the world of AI in such a way that you will start thinking about how to use the power of AI and that maybe the way you have used it until now was only 1% of how it can help in your company, work or study.
You will begin to understand how AI works, so that it is not a tool that does the work for you, but to help you do the work as best and most efficiently as possible. You will also find out what LLMs actually are and that the basis of everything is basically the ordinary T9 that each of us had in our push-button telephone. The book also includes a somewhat scary story about Clippy, who had a single task. He was, in short, an AI agent whose sole goal was to produce as much kancelectrical engineeringonek. I won't tell you what happened when an agent with a simple and seemingly safe task discovered that the only thing that could jeopardize his mission was a human, but you can probably guess where his discovery led. This book will guide you through the entire world of AI, from how AI was created, what it actually does and how it works, through where and how it gets its data and whether it is ethical or legal, through experiments with agents like Clippy, to how to divide tasks for you and for AI. How to learn to fix AI and how to learn to use what it can do to complement what you can do.

The book itself is just over 200 pages long and can easily be read in one chilly autumn weekend. It will also give you enough information to use AI better and understand why some things just don't work and that you will say ChatTelling a bot that it is an idiot and did not complete your task is not the best way to teach it to correct its mistakes and not make them again. If you want to read something about AI, then this book is really the best place to start. I devoured it word by word and I am glad I bought it because it not only opened my eyes to many things, but also explained to me that not everything works the way we thought before reading it.
