Whoop Review if in LsA already discovered, but it's been almost a year since I started using it. Thanks to this, I now have a really good overview of what suits me after a year of use and what bothers me a little. If you are also wondering whether it is worth paying €399 per year for Whoop, then I believe that you will find the answer in today's article. I bought Whoop because I love mechanical watches that I like to wear almost every day and at the same time I want to have monitored health functions and address the impact of changes I make in my life on the measured metrics. At the time I bought it, it was basically the only option to measure body functions without a display, Garmin Cirqa and Google's solutions only appeared this year and I hate smart rings. By the way, what is the difference between Whoop vs Garmin Cirqa can be found in a separate article.

What I have to say, quite objectively, is that even after a year I still enjoy the design, I have changed three bracelets in total during that year, all original from Whoop and thanks to that, I still like the Whoop on my wrist. If I stop enjoying the original ones, there are a number of third-party manufacturers who offer their own bracelets, from those for a few crowns to gold ones. varianty. There is already a fairly large community of manufacturers around Whoop, so finding accessories is not a problem. In addition, Whoop itself offers, for example, T-shirts or shorts with an integrated pocket directly for the meter, so that you don't even have to carry it when doing sports. onen smart bracelet, but you simply hid the measuring device itself directly in your T-shirt or shorts. What bothers me a little are the prices for replacement straps. The cheapest ones cost €49 and end up at €79, which is quite a lot for a piece of fabric or rubber. Fortunately, at least a metal buckle is included and you can assemble your own straps, exactly according to your taste. I understand that I am not exactly my friend Filip Vaněk, but I wear Whoop non-stop, which is also its main purpose, so I like to match its color with the rest of my clothes at least from time to time.

What I really like, on the other hand, is the charging, which I still enjoy after a year. In short, you just charge a small power bank with wireless charging, which you click on the bracelet and it charges in less than an hour. Moreover, you only need to do this about once every 14 days. So I don't have to worry too much about charging, and most importantly, I never have to take the bracelet off. It should be said here that I really never take it off and I go to the pool with it, I shower with it and everything works absolutely great, which is also because it has noonewhich water would get into. In terms of wearing, charging comfort and choice of straps, I can really only recommend Whoop and I am completely satisfied with it even after a year.

Regarding data collection, I have to say that throughout the entire time I have nestI have never once heard Whoop fail to measure anything, or miss even a single minute of recording any metric, even in the pool or shower. In addition, I must appreciate that, unlike some competing watches or bracelets, Whoop is not visible even in the complete darkness in which we sleep, because its sensors blink quite subtly. In contrast, when I tested Garmin Cirqa or when my wife wears a Garmin Venu 4, the light from the sensors can be seen in the dark. So if you are a fool like me and sleep in 100% darkness, when everything is dark and there is no light anywhere, Whoop is absolutely ideal for that. On the other hand, I have to say that it happened to me about 3 times that Whoop simply did not measure my activity, especially in the pool, where you do not carry your phone with you, so I lost the swimming record and we had to record it manually via the journal.

Now to the most important thing, and that's how I actually use Whoop. First of all, I rely on the AI coach that is part of the application and who tells me, for example, when to go to bed so that I feel my best in the morning considering what I did and how I'm physically able to do it. I also learned to track why certain metrics change and what to do to keep them normal or improve. When your HRV is decreasing, you want to get a little more sleep, take more days off, do a few breathing exercises, and so on. Whoop is in no way motivating and doesn't force you to do anything, it tells you how you are doing and it's up to you to either interpret the data yourself, for example via AI, or use AI and the advice within the application and have the data interpreted, including recommendations on what to do and why to do it. Personally, in recent years I have been playing around with various dietary supplements for longevity, with when and what I eat or drink, and Whoop is the one thanks to which I can monitor the effect of even very small things on the overall condition of the organism, or of course on the measured values. All I need to do after waking up is drink a large glass of water and then an espresso half an hour later, and in a few weeks I can see the difference it made compared to when I did it the other way around.

I have to be completely honest and say that the way Whoop looks, especially the way its app and the whole ecosystem around it look, is the main reason why I decided to pay the outrageous €399 again to be able to use the bracelet for another year. You know, those Rolexes that you put on your wrist don't measure time any better than a Casio, but most people still want a Rolex, even if there is no rational reason for it. That's exactly how it is with Whoop. It's not about the bracelet measuring better, more accurately or something that no one else in the world can do. It's about how it looks and feels, and most importantly how much I enjoy it. I'm a person who loses interest in some things very quickly, and when I use something for a year straight and I still enjoy it, that's a success and that's exactly what I have with Whoop. Either you simply enjoy the way it looks, how it helps you improve, or you can move on without any problems. I enjoy it for now and miniI'll give him at least a year.anci. But I won't convince you that it is somehow special compared to other bracelets that are already on the market today, because I would be lying. In short, it has won me over with something, and so much so that we are willing to continue paying for it.
