Apple continues to debug macOS Golden Gate and in the sixth beta, it has prepared one new feature that, although it is definitely not one of the features that would make you install the new system, still made me quite happy. Apple He added more Golden Gate-inspired wallpapers and at the same time slightly modified the appearance of one of the most distinctive elements of the entire macOS environment.

Specifically, the sixth beta of macOS 27 added the Golden Gate Day and Golden Gate Evening wallpapers. These complement the previously introduced varianty Golden Gate Sunset and Golden Gate Night. Apple So he gradually builds an entire collection of wallpapers, which this time of course revolves around the iconic bridge in San Francisco.ancplaintiff.  And these aren't just any static images. The new day and evening wallpapers have animations that appear when you unlock your Mac, for example. Even more interesting is when you use them as screensavers. In this case, cars slowly move across the bridge, making the entire background appear much more lively.

But I find another detail even more interesting, which Apple in the sixth beta. It concerns the so-called traffic light buttons, i.e. the three buttons in the upper left corner of windows that you use to close on a Mac, miniyou are painting or maxYou are optimizing applications. Apple Golden Gate has slightly redesigned their appearance in macOS, giving them a more distinctive Liquid Glass look. This change is much more noticeable at first glance than the new wallpapers themselves.

And I must admit that for me it is a change that suits the system quite well. macOS Golden Gate has been building more heavily on the Liquid Glass design since the first beta, and the colored buttons in the windows stood out a bit among the new look. Now it is Apple visually brings it closer to the rest of the system. Interestingly, Apple is returning to a more distinctive look for these buttons after a really long time. Their current appearance has basically been with macOS since the Yosemite era, so it's a small change, but in terms of everyday use, you'll see it practically every time. macOS Golden Gate is now available to developers and the public beta testers and Apple plans to release it to all users this September.

New wallpapers are exactly the type of little thing that can easily get lost in the list of new features, but I think similar details make sense in macOS. Apple is not just trying to add new features, but is gradually unifying the entire look of the system. And if you've already had the opportunity to try macOS Golden Gate, the new look of the buttons in the windows is, in my opinion, exactly the detail that shows that Apple he doesn't consider his new design to be finished yet.
