It is due to arrive next year on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the iPhone and, according to available leaks, it will have Apple is going to significantly touch on the very essence of design. Specifically, they are talking about a device that would come closest in history to the vision he once advocated Jony Ive – that is, a phone without distracting elements, without frames and ideally without any visible transitions.
The key to this is a new type of display, on which Apple is collaborating with Samsung. The latter is to offer a so-called micro-curve design on all four sides. But these are not the dramatically curved edges we know from some competing phones. On the contrary, the curvature is to be very subtle, almost invisible, just enough to optically eliminate frames and at the same time not cause unwanted touches when holding. The result should be such that the display literally "flows" over the entire body of the device, without having a negative impact on usability. In other words, Apple tries to take the best of both worlds, i.e. the visual effect of a frameless design and at the same time practical ergonomics.
Another major change is to switch to a so-called "pol-less" OLED panel. This eliminates the classic polarizing layer that is a standard part of displays today. This allows the panel to be thinner, more permeable to light, and therefore brighter and more energy-efficient. Apple is already testing a similar solution and is gradually preparing the ground for its wider deployment.

However, there is one crucial "but". Of course, these are still "just" leaks and the final form has yet to be finalized. iPhone 20 is still quite a long way off. So a lot, if not everything, can still change. But if this information gives at least a somewhat realistic picture of what Apple is preparing, we can look forward to one of the biggest design leaps in recent years.
