The attention of the vast majority of Apple fans is currently focused on the introduction of the iPhone 16 (Pro), however, this does not prevent the first major leaks revealing the successors of these phones – specifically the iPhones 17 (Pro). Precise analyst Jeff Pu has now managed to obtain quite a lot of interesting information about them, including the RAM memory capacity.

If Jeff Pu's information is correct, which it probably is given his excellent past knowledge, then next year we will see the following configurations:

iPhone 17 (Pro) RAM

  • iPhone 17 a iPhone 17 Slim: 8GB RAM, A18 or A19
  • iPhone 17 Pro a iPhone 17 Pro Max: 12GB RAM, A19 Pro

Both in the case of basic iPhones and the series Pro therefore Apple will probably decide on an interesting upgrade. After all, the base models currently offer "only" 6GB of RAM, while a number of Pro has 8GB of RAM. This would be an increase of 2 or 4GB of RAM, respectively. Quite frankly, we can only guess whether the increase in RAM will be noticeable to the user. The truth is that iPhones already run completely without lag and higher RAM is more or less suitable only for less standard demanding tasks, or rather system processes such as photo editing using machine learning and the like. It is therefore quite possible that by increasing the RAM you Apple this time, he will "only" ensure that his own technologies (for example, photo editing software or speculated AI functions) run exactly as he needs.
