iPad-2Apple on Wednesday introduced the long-awaited iPad 2. The whole Keynote was literally overflowing with technical information and data about the new iPad. There was talk of a revolutionary dual-core processor, a 9x faster graphics chip, and smaller dimensions. However, there was not a word about the amount of RAM.

Gizmodo was one of the first to report on the RAM size. According to the site, the iPad 2 will have "only" 256MB of RAM, just like the first generation of the tablet. However, this report has not been confirmed by anyone, nor has it been confirmed by Apple employees.anci Applu did not comment on this claim.

However, this claim is refuted by Kakeun Lee, an analyst at the Korean firm Hana Daetoo Securities, who stated on his Twitter shortly after the tablet was introduced that the iPad 2 contains an operating memory of 512 MB, which is the same value as the iPhone 4. Kakeun Lee refers to reliable sources such as companies Samsung or Hynix.

Apple he did not officially provide the exact data. We can only speculate about the RAM size for now. The only thing Apple revealed, is the fact that the new iPad has a processor twice as fast and better graphics rendering than any other competing device.
