Have you grown fond of magnetic wallets that attach to the back of iPhones 12 (Pro) or 13 (Pro)? I am very much so. So it probably won't surprise you that when the recently introduced Peak Design Slim wallet arrived at our editorial office for testing Wallet, I didn't hesitate for a minute and we took on its testing and especially comparing it with Apple MagSafe Wallet 2nd generation, which I use practically every day. And since it makes me Slim Wallet company for a relatively long time, I have no choice but to introduce you to what it is like.

Slim Wallet from Peak Design is miniA meticulously crafted wallet made of durable 100% recycled nylon fabric in dark gray, in which the phone cover I recently reviewed is also available. It attaches magnetically to the back of the iPhone, either via MagSafe or via SlimLink, which is a magnetic-mechanical lock created by Peak Design for its accessories. In the case of the magnetic connection, it can be described with a bit of exaggeration as a kind of MagSafe on steroids, since the strength of the magnetic connection with the SlimLink is significantly higher, according to my testing. According to the manufacturer, the higher magnetism does not mean any risk to your credit cards, hotel key cards, or anything else.

While from the original Apple MagSafe Wallet the cards are ejected using a hole in it, in the case of Slim Wallet A retractable “cap” is used to eject the cards, which also has a magnetic end, which ensures that the cards are removed from the wallet 100% they won't get it. Testing
When Apple about a year and a half ago, Apple introduced the first generation of MagSafe with the iPhone 12 Wallet, I admit that this accessory left me quite cold, as I didn't see much point in it. However, when I got my hands on it a year later, along with iPhonem 13 second generation MagSafe Wallet and started using it actively, I suddenly fell in love with this solution, since I pay more or less everywhere via Apple Pay, and therefore I only need to carry my ID card and driver's license with me most of the time. On the other hand, there are sometimes situations when an extra card or banknote would be useful, and in that case, it is already with the original leather case Wallet od AppThis is a problem. When I put two cards and a banknote in it, there is no room for the third card and vice versa. So it probably won't surprise you that I have a lot of extra space in the Slim Wallet from Peak Design. Although it is not that much larger in size, it really holds a lot and most importantly – comfortably. While the original Wallet It was often annoying to stuff a folded banknote into it above the cards because it was crumpled, and the pink one often couldn't even be pulled out, but this doesn't apply here thanks to the internal space.

Another positive of Slim Wallet from Peak Design is the pull-out mechanism for its contents. While the original Wallet To extract the contents, you always have to remove it from the iPhone and use the hole on the back, but with the Peak Design product you can'tchat The wallet can be easily placed on the back of the iPhone and its contents can be removed by pulling on its closure, which will eject everything. The great thing is that the wallet's attachment to the back of the iPhone - whether in combination with MagSafe or with the SlimLink of the Peak Design case - is very strong, so you don't have to worry about breaking the magnetic connection when pulling on the closure to remove the contents of the wallet.
The only thing that makes me a little sad about the wallet is the lack of Find support, which is why you simply can't find it through the app of the same name if you accidentally disconnect it. This is logically related to the absence of a disconnection notification, which is precisely dependent on Find. But when I take into account the fact that the magnet in this wallet is significantly stronger than the one in the original MagSafe wallet, worrying about accidental disconnection is probably quite unnecessary.
Summary
Given how comfortable the Peak Design Slim is Wallet uses, its final evaluation cannot be anything other than positive. This is a really great magnetic wallet capable of holding a lot of things, which holds the phone brilliantly on the back and which is also really good in design. So if you don't like the original solution from Applu or maybe you are just looking for another piece to the original, in which you will be able to hide much more than in the original if necessary, you have just found one of the most interesting options on the market. It's just a shame about the (non)implementation in Find. With that, Slim would be Wallet practically perfect.
