While most of us will mindlessly accept the new terms, there are some individuals who really read them carefully – and it's definitely a good thing they did so at WhatsAppu. It turned out that the company Facebook, which is behind the aforementioned application, was supposed to gain access to a lot of user and sensitive data after the introduction of new conditions, for even better advertising targeting. Nakonebut fortunately it turned out that miniin Europe it has WhatsApp out of luck and won't get their data. But just out of principle, maybe some of you have alternative secure applications for WhatsApp are looking for – below you will find the best ones that are both safe and widespread.

Pro those less familiar with it iMessage hidden directly in the native Messages application and this service is activated automatically when two users of Apple products connect. iMessage uses end-to-end encryption, but only if you don't have Messages on i activeCloudu. Apple of course, it collects some user data about you, but it certainly doesn't abuse and resell it - if it did, the internet would be full of it.

Signal
As soon as news of the new terms of use spread across the internet a few months ago, WhatsAppu, most users were horrified – and rightly so. Millions of users started looking for the best and safest alternatives. Quite frankly, if you started using the Telegram application, it looks like you went from mud to puddle – see the conclusion. Signal, on the other hand, offers encrypted chat, audio and video calls, image sharing, and all kinds of data. Signal also offers countless features you would expect from an advanced communication app, including disappearing messages. The aforementioned “kitty” also doesn’t collect any data and is an open source solution.

Viber should not be missing from our list of secure messengers under any circumstances. This application, which has been available on the market for quite a few years, of course offers end-to-end encryption, which is activated by default. All messages that you send through Viber are not stored on the application's servers in any way - they are deleted immediately. As in the case of Signal, Viber also has the disappearing message function and other classic functions that other applications offer. chatmessaging applications, are a given. You can also create hidden conversations that can be locked with a code lock. In any case, Viber is not an open-source solution, which might worry some people. However, apart from that, Viber does not have any major negative features.

Wire has the smallest user base of any of the apps we’ve mentioned, but that doesn’t make it a bad messenger. Wire meets all the requirements for a secure chatIt is an open-source app that offers end-to-end encryption and complies with all EU data protection laws. záver
So above you could learn more about 5 safe chatapplications that you can currently download to your iPhone. We certainly do not deny that there are App There were no more apps available on the store, but we believe that whichever of the above apps you choose, you can feel safe and sleep soundly. We deliberately did not include the popular Telegram in the list because it does not have end-to-end encryption enabled by default, its message encryption protocol, which was created by Telegram's developers, was also broken, and Telegram does not provide any transparency reports. As for Messengeror Instagram, for example, in this case we can't talk about security at all - there is no end-to-end encryption (in Messenger(i.e. turned off and hidden), in addition, these applications fall under the same category as WhatsApp pod Facebook, which speaks for itself.
Prosim where did you get the information that Telegram's encryption protocol was broken? In addition, messages are of course encrypted by default, they are just stored on the server so that the user can then have them available on all other devices. This solution is already secure enough and more convenient for regular communication. If the user wants super encryption, he turns on secret chat, but will lose the opportunity to have these chaty on other devices, which is logical because they are not stored on the server. I find this solution ideal because you can choose. Moreover, Telegram's encryption is probably the best of all, even though it is not open source. It is not by chance that various reputable organizations use it. Gossip about the unreliable Telegram arises precisely so that not many people use it, precisely for its security. Signal is a US product and even though it is open source, no terrorist will probably use it 🤷🏻♂️ ProNo, I guess... Moreover, Telegram, even though it's not in Czech, has a beautiful design.
And unlike WA, they all have native apps for iPad :-). Also a plus.
How else... 🤔
Telegram is Russian so it won't be in the list right!?
The fact that any files of any size can be sent via it and it does not compress photos or video, which currently no communicator can do, is obviously a passe for the editor because it is simply Russian!!
I personally have ProtonMail, Telegram and Signal, nothing else is allowed on my phone ☝️
But the main thing is that there is Viber, which is full of ads and constantly annoys with them... it cuts the photos to 650KB.
I will never understand individuals who need to push politics everywhere at any cost. I don't really care if the app is from Russia, Pakistan or even from Saturn. See the end of the article for an explanation of why Telegram isn't on the list. If you had read it before commenting, you might not have written such nonsense.
Yes, there is Telegram between the lines..
But the fact that the encryption was broken?
All communication applications that are their "creators" had to so-called voluntarily - obligatorily hand over the encryption keys to the secret services for systems such as Echelon, without exception, which is another one of the things that the user, of course, does not know and lives in the belief that his no one monitors the communication - in this case it is only a computer for keywords or thematic analysis, but...
Therefore, it is absolute nonsense to claim something about security, privacy and encryption.
And I'm sorry, I didn't read it all the way to the end..
I was only interested in apps.
Can you provide a source for your claim of breaking Telegram's encryption algorithms? I only managed to find that these are algorithms based on AES256, which is a set of quite commonly used encryption protocols.
