Belgian security experts have found a bug that allows them, by overwriting the FOV key firmware, to get into a Tesla Model X via Bluetooth, which would reportedly be possible in as little as 90 seconds. The car ID, which is usually visible on the dashboard, will also help with this. For a few hundred dollars, one of the engineers built a device that uses a modified Model X control unit. This can then be used to unlock the doors and take control of the car. Tesla was allegedly alerted to this error in the system already in August. But it still hasn't released a security patch.
