In recent weeks, you have read many times in our magazine about the declaration of a software war against coronavirus. AppleGoogle me. These companies have started working on the tools that have the power to overcome the world's biggest scarecrow of today. At first, it will be a matter of slight adaptation of operating systems and the release of tools for developers of applications to fight the coronavirus, which can be better integrated into the systems, and later the companies will also come up with their own solutions. However, customizing the system is of course a much simpler matter and will therefore come first. How it will look to us Apple showed in the fourth beta released yesterday iOS 13.5, whose live release is expected in about two weeks.
To settings iOS On 13.5, a new subsection dedicated to the coronavirus notification system will be added to the Health section. It will contain both a switch that will allow you to enable Bluetooth data sharing about your device with your surroundings, and a list of applications from which the phone will draw data. Third-party applications, such as the domestic eRouška, will be absolutely crucial for the functionality, since it will initially be based only on them. Once then Apple will introduce its own software solution, users will be able to use only that without the need to install third-party applications.

The principle of the entire "smart mobile quarantine" system is absolutely simple. The main role in it will be played by applications - whether third-party or later native - in which, in the case of permission from the user, all devices from the surrounding area that are somehow detected with their device via Bluetooth will be recorded. This data will then be able to help hygienists contact potentially infected users in the event that the disease is proven in the user of the application - if, of course, the user agrees to use it. It is important to note that only contacts with devices (whose IDs will of course hide users, but will be visible only to hygienists) will be recorded, along with their intensity based on the distance of the devices from each other and the duration. Location records will not be stored, as they are completely useless as a result. However, the alpha and omega of the whole system is the involvement of as many people as possible, because only then will it be possible to trace all or at least most of the meetings through technology.
Erouška for IOS is a completely useless, non-functional thing. It was created just so they could tell donuts everywhere how we are ahead and have a smart quarantine. But you lock the phone and it's gone. In order for it to record anything, you have to have it actively running. Waste of money for development. Have to wait for the API from Applu…
No one gets any data from me and I don't intend to share anything. I assume this feature will be primarily disabled or alerted to options after installation/update.
Agreement. In my opinion, fighting a virus with an application is completely obvious. In a big city where I meet 1000 people on my way to work and they meet others * incubation period * the fact that the virus doesn't have to attack the nearest * b/gps accuracy * metro = that the whole Prague will be in the database in a month :)

It's probably a good idea to clarify how it works (should work). It doesn't use GPS, just bluetooth. And it can evaluate the riskiness of the given encounter according to the strength of the signal strength and the duration of the contact. Ingeniously simple and, in my opinion, potentially functional.
As for sending data. Nothing is sent anywhere, it only stays on your phone. Only when you find out that you have tested positive with a PCR test will the hygienist ask you to send relevant data from the time you were contagious. It is up to you whether you do it. The system can pair them with the phone numbers of people who are at risk of infection from you and warn them not to infect others. Prothat is, they will be infectious for about 4 days after infection, but their symptoms will appear about a day or two later. So it is possible not to spread the infection further... and to function more freely in society as a whole, because any quarantine will only be targeted.
Great for me if Apple and Google will now prepare the API and later integrate their own tools, it will be very effective... Which is not yet the case with our Czech hobby, which calls itself Erouška pro IOS
It's just that selling a virus doesn't work like one selling it to another. 10 people don't have to get it at all, and 11 do, with the fact that they will immediately sell it to someone else. At the same time, someone can have the gout virus (you have to go through the entire illness) and not even know about it - i.e. your number will never be sold to the hygienist, but he will infect others.
It all seems to me like wishful thinking that Bluetooth and applications will "save" us in a place that is not governed linearly and by a single council, but by exponentially and by chance (or function whether oneyou can, you will sell a virus with more than 1 variable).
I know how it's supposed to work and ok, I wrote GPS just like that - as another potential source of data that they can add in time as part of "reconciliation".
And I'm not counting the fact that you give (any data) to people like Primula, who, according to me, can't even master a trigram and, with common sense, doesn't know what 30% of 10 million infected with X hospitalized people means. We shouldn't be able to solve the disease at all, because the majority oneshe became strong and healed herself...

Just look at Dropbox, among others, which cannot synchronize in the background, which significantly reduces its usability. Unlike iCloud, which can handle it without any problems, because its applications Apple allows, which, among other things, tries to eliminate competition :-(
For some time, eRouška also works in the background, but in a limited mode. When you go somewhere in the city where there are a lot of people, just open the application and put the phone in your pocket - the screen will automatically turn off and the battery will not be wasted. The app works very well for me…
