Since launch Apple Pay in the Czech Republic, exactly five months will pass in three days, which, however, were austere for the arrival of new banks supporting the Apple payment service. We did not see a single new bank joining the six domestic banks during this period. However, this is changing today, as the support Apple Pay introduced by another Czech bank – this time Unicredit Bank.

Support Apple Pay introduced by the bank in complete silence, which is also proven by the fact that the bank's clients only started to notice it in the evening hours today, even though it has probably been working since the morning. The bank itself describes it on its website Apple Pay as a simple and secure way to pay in stores, apps or online. Her MasterCarYou can easily insert your d card into your account, just like with other banks. Wallet on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch and use it to pay at contactless terminals or withdraw money from contactless ATMs.

In addition to the classic text instructions, you will also find four video instructions on the bank's website, one of which focuses on the settings themselves Apple Pay – i.e. to insert a payment card into Wallet – and the other three for the payment itself. So if you are confused about one or the other, the UniCredit website will help you. However, since the use of Apple Pay with the UniCredit card is no different from other cards, you probably won't have the slightest problem thanks to the media massage launched in February after the launch of the service in the Czech Republic.

Let's hope that soon other domestic banks will also "come up" and Apple Pay offer their clients. While for some the absence from the list of supporters can be understood, for example ČSOB, which is one of the largest domestic banks, many clients cannot come precisely because of the lack of support Apple Pay to the name. However, they should expect it in a few months - specifically in the fall.
