EKG excitement on the latest watch Apple Watch 4 dropped for many of us right after we found out it was going to be a US exclusive for a very long time. Permission to use ECG on Apple Watch even in other countries it depends on the permission of local health institutions and this is exactly the reason why the function is currently only available in the USA. This limitation can be bypassed by buying a watch in the USA and then you can measure the EKG anywhere in the world, but that too will soon change.
ECG limits on Apple Watch:
Before you can use ECG, you have to go through a tutorial on your iPhone that tells you what to do and how to do it, plus you have to enter some personal information about yourself. In this process, we would like to iOS 12.2 should see changes. Apple doesn't want to simply break the law, so it will introduce a location check when filling out this questionnaire. The location simply determines whether you are in the United States. If this is not the case, it will not let you set up the ECG. The same applies if you try to set up the ECG without a SIM card. In this case, another warning will appear on the screen stating that the ECG cannot be activated on the watch. This most likely indicates that data about your location from the SIM card will be used, not from the GPS of your iPhone.

The question remains whether this step will only need to be done within the United States, or whether the EKG will still continuously check where you are. The best form would of course be to extend the ECG function to other countries and preferably to the Czech Republic as well. However, considering how long it took Apple Pay, before it was available in our country, so it is quite possible that we will not even see it. Maybe in the next five-year period.
Good management alone is already nonsense, as they prove, if I knew, I wouldn't even buy a watch 🤜
So nothing. Again…..
Well, I don't know, but I think there's no need to slander in this matter Apple. If what is in the article is true (Permission to use ECG on Apple Watch even in other states it depends on the permission of local health institutions...) then for that Apple probably can't right?
It would take some kind of lawsuit for the fact that someone in our area had an ex who used Apple Watch 4, which had blocked services and otherwise would have saved his life! Then maybe things would get moving 🤨 There are quite often articles about saved lives. It would require articles about ruined lives of AW owners who could have been saved and weren't, thanks to "paper bureaucracy" 😉

I had the AW4 on my hands for two days, then the news went out into the world... I was looking forward to them, but they were quite disappointing... in addition - measure the heart rate, EKG, etc... as long as a person does not run to the doctors, there is nothing wrong with him. so these features are unnecessary in my opinion... we've done without them for years, I'll continue to do without them
Isn't this deceiving the consumer?
I recently looked at some "noname" bracelets and they had a problem-free EKG (I think I found about 2) and they are sold here - but I assume that they don't have any "certifications" - and they gave up on it - apple he wants to have it captured - and he prefers not to activate it without confirmation. But I don't think this is a mistake applu - or his decision makes up 50% of the result...
I don't understand this stupidity, why do they put it in the watch when they publish it only in the USA..
Apple fail. Shame on them. They know how to bill, but they haven't even filed an EKG permit application with us yet!!! In 7 years they may pay off
it probably won't be anything complicated, there are several blood pressure monitors with ECG function on the market and new models come every year from different manufacturers, I don't understand if I can do it with these why not Apple
everyone who buys an AW 4 outside the USA will pay for the sebzor, they will also pay for its development in the price of the watch and they can't use the version with LTE even without LTE, there should also be a version without ECG but with a bigger display and a new process than AW have 4 for a different price
????????????
So if I have it set I can update without problems? Or would I rather not have it at all?
I don't really understand those who want an EKG function. On a watch, it is fundamentally inaccurate (physics is physics). If I really want an EKG measurement, I don't cry that the watch doesn't have it, but I will go to the bypass and have an EKG measured with high accuracy and a high-quality evaluation. Plus, the insurance company will pay for it for me. And if I feel difficulties and want to measure the EKG often, then again a specialized device is better.
even though I stayed with S3 😂
The ECG function is especially useful for the user who has a problem with arrhythmias or is suspected of having arrhythmias. An arrhythmia is a cardiac event that occurs repeatedly and lasts for only a few tens of minutes. It is very complicated onepower and the doctor needs to capture the arrhythmia on the ECG in a medical facility. No devices that the patient has with them are used for this. Let alone a watch. For the doctor to indicate someone for ablation based on the measurement Apple Watch is absolute nonsense. BUT, the patient must arrive at the medical facility on time and when it is actually an arrhythmia. The point is to capture and record the arrhythmia in a qualified manner (in some medical facilities it is necessary for the doctor to print and sign the ECG). And of course, the patient must be provided with first aid, if necessary, usually by infusion of drugs. But the doctor does not indicate the infusion of antiarrhythmic drugs based on the watch, for God's sake. The watch is an aid for the patient. The patient can recognize the arrhythmia with the help of the watch and consider going to the doctor. This is where the watch is extremely useful and important for the patient. It saves the patient time, nerves and can speed up the determination of theonediagnosis. Pro doctor no relevance of measurements with the help of Apple Watch doesn't have The complicated approval of a watch as a medical device is all the more nonsense. And I wonder Applethat he is playing this game with the authorities. If he left it as it is, he would do the best he could for the sick patients. And it is also nonsense to think that a patient can go to the doctor if something does not seem right with his heart. He has to get there at the right time.
You should look at Keynote, then you wouldn't be so surprised... :D
Letem svetem Applem It can be worked around anyway. I will simply go on vacation to New Yorkua I will set it up there.🤫🤔😄
What the hell is this!!
ProWhat are they doing or is it our stupid laws again?
