I was excited about the opportunity to review a fitness bracelet. Until the last moment, I didn't know what kind of bracelet it would actually be. I was even more surprised that it was a bracelet from Niceboy, a company I had only associated with wireless speakers until now. So how did Niceboy stack up against the competition in the field of fitness peripherals?
Package contents
The Niceboy X-fit GPS fitness bracelet arrived in a nice black and blue box. The package contains only a bracelet and a manual. Yes, there really is nothing to charge. But more on that later. The bracelet itself is very pleasant on the hand. The rubber band has a wide range of size adjustment options, so everyone can choose the ideal size for their wrist. The bracelet has a 0,96" OLED color display, which is pleasant to look at even under direct lighting. IP 67 certification is also present, so showering with a bracelet is no problem. The duration of one charge is approximately 10 days. With the GPS on, the duration is about 4 to 5 hours. In this more demanding mode, the bracelet can thoroughly measure several activities on one charge.
Application
The bracelet can be paired with iOS or Android device using the Hi Move application, which is in Czech and visually very clear. After registration, the application will prompt you to enter your gender, height, weight and your daily step goal. In the application, you can set notifications that you want to be notified of, view graphs, set goals or sleep monitoring. In short, everything you could expect from a similar application.
Bracelet
The user interface of the bracelet is very simple and intuitive. It only takes a few minutes to get used to it. You can navigate the watch menu by touching the imaginary button located below the display. Press and hold to confirm your selection. The main menu of the watch displays the basic screen, which displays the time, date and battery status. The menu also includes the number of steps taken, distance, heart rate measurement, current weather conditions, an overview of incoming notifications and messages, selection of fitness activities and other functions, the list of which is quite extensive for a fitness bracelet. Through the bracelet, you can control music, the camera, turn on GPS or a function that helps you find your smartphone.one.
When you buy a fitness band, it is expected that you intend to start moving. The list of possible adjustable activities is a total of 22. Among the basic activities you would normally expect, this bracelet can measure plank, climbing wall, bowling, ping-pong, baseball and shuttlecock, whatever it is.
I immediately put the bracelet to the test. I selected the strength training function and took it to the gym. In my opinion, it can be used as an activity indicator for running, cycling and more "classic" activities where you use GPS. During the activity, the bracelet measures the duration of the activity, the current heart rate, distance and number of calories. After a seventy-minute workout, the bracelet focused only on the distance traveled in the number of calories burned. So it seemed that I did nothing for seventy minutes. However, as a continuous indicator of activity and heart rate, it works great. On the other hand, the calculation of the run works perfectly thanks to the presence of GPS. The bracelet does not need to be connected to a smartphone.onem synchronize after each activity. The bracelet's internal memory can store data for the last 7 days.
The bracelet arrived with a 50% battery charge. After 5 days, the low battery icon popped up. So I started wondering what to do, because I couldn't find any information about it while looking at the bracelet.onewhich did not come across. So I got the impression that it was somehow cleverly hidden. And it is! I read in the manual that you just need to remove the top part of the bracelet. After removing it, a USB "beak" will peek out at you, which you can simply plug into the USB port.onewhich. For me, a great solution. The bracelet is fully charged in about 2,5 hours.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the fitness bracelet. If you are looking for a bracelet that fits well on your hand, has a nice display, an affordable price and has a GPS module, the one from the Niceboy brand is exactly for you. At a price of 1790 crowns, this is a great peripheral that will help you monitor your activity and, thanks to its many functions, it will become a kind of extended smartphone arm.
Hello,
just one note about charging. I had a bracelet with a similar type toonewhich, after repeated disconnection from the body of the device, I managed to completely destroy it after several weeks of operation. It is true that the disconnection was very stiff and required the correct pulling angle and a certain degree of force. It is possible that this bracelet is solved differently.
Thanks and have a nice day,
Martin
greetings Martin,
we tried it and so far it holds firmly. I don't know what kind of bracelet you had so it's hard to judge or compare :)
Exactly as "Martin" writes, this charging solution is not very suitable, just knock the bracelet over when it is inserted into the USB port of the laptop and it is gone.ancIf it breaks and you take the strap off every week to store it, it will fall out in six months.
Inappropriate charging for me.
as we wrote above. We tested it and it still holds and it's already some Friday... do you have your own experience? or just a concern?
Thanks
Hello, the watch is perfect when it is connected, which is a problem, it keeps disconnecting. Has anyone solved it?
Hello Monica.
Android autoautomatically terminates processes that are not currently being used to save RAM. The application needs to be locked in RAM management, as we write in the instructions in the FAQ. The instructions for this locking vary depending on the Android version and its build, so it is not possible to write a universal guide, ideally look on the Internet according to the type of phone/Android version/build.
Thank you
Hello, is there somewhere to download the application to the computer and not just to the mobile phone?
I can't find anywhere on my phone, when I stopped an activity, where can I find its record... thank you
Hello Milan.
We don't have an application for the PC version, as far as I know, none of our competitors offer this feature, we only have applications for phones on the Android platform and iOS.
Regarding your second question. If you only paused and did not end it properly, the activity will not be saved. If you ended it, the activity will be displayed in the application, where you can also browse previous activities. Alternatively, contact info@niceboy.cz directly with any questions.
Thank you
Well, I went on a cycling trip twice and the GPS recorded me twice for 2 hours. Only a straightforward display without detailed data will remain for 2 hours.
The only application that can be paired with the bracelet is from the manufacturer Hi Move.
Sad.
I'd rather return the bracelet than give up pro paid fitness apps.
They work well for me and are easy to control. ProI don't have any problems with them, it would just be great to have them in other colors :))
