Three years ago on a crowdfunding portal Kickstarter discovered a project that needed to raise $125 for its implementation. However, afteronec managed to cross the threshold several times, raising a total of $809. The Lumos smart cycling helmet has gained attention primarily for its features, and has even made it to the shelves Apple Stores.

We don't have one in the Czech Republic yet Apple Store, which doesn't matter, because the smart cycling helmet can also be purchased via online store Cupertino company. The first smart helmet, which will cost 4 crowns, integrates lights, emergency braking signal, turn signals and iOS application. It has bright LEDs in the front and back, so you will see the road perfectly in the dark.

Built into the helmet are 10 bright white LEDs in the front part, 38 red LEDs in the back part and 11 orange LEDs in each turn signal, so you can see perfectly on the road. If you additionally do Apple Watch install the Lumos app, the helmet can show turn signals with smart hand gestures. But if you don't have Apple Watch, it doesn't matter at all, because the helmet also includes a wireless controller that you attach to your handlebars and thus activate the turn signals via it.

The helmet also offers a hard braking signal function, although currently in beta version, but it can recognize when the bike starts to slow down. Immediately, all 38 LEDs on the back of the helmet automatically light up. The smart helmet can also be connected to Health or Diet applications. Finally, it should be mentioned that the product has won several international design awards.
