The battery life of an iPhone depends not only on the capacity of the battery, but also on the version of the operating system on it. It is somewhat customary that some versions of the system iOS they use the battery much more intensively than others and others are "perfect" for a change. Well, if you are a developer or have access to beta system versions iOS, you should expect worse battery life or other problems, after all we are talking about beta version. But how much does the endurance actually change? You can look at that in the test below. In the video you will see a comparison of iPhones with different versions of the operating system iOS.
More precisely, we are talking about systems iOS 8.0.2 iOS 8.1.3 iOS 8.2 beta 2 to iOS 8.3 beta 2. For the purposes of the test, a brand new one, freshly unpacked, was used iPhone 5 in the 16GB version and the Geekbench tool was used to calculate battery life. From the test, it can be seen that the current system is doing best iOS 8.1.3, but in the case iOS 8.3 beta 2 shows a decrease in endurance by over four minutes. It lasted only 2 hours and 54 minutes of use, while with the current version it lasted almost 3 hours and 1 minute.
