Company shares Apple yesterday they had another success. The Californian company's shares increased by $2.3 before the stock market closed yesterday, thanks to which Apple became the first ever company on the stock exchange whose market capitalization exceeded the threshold of 700 billion US dollars. More precisely, it now has 710,7 billion dollars, which represents more than 100 dollars for every single person in the world! The company's shares were worth US$122,02 at the close of trading. After the stock market closed, the value of the lin rose minislightly, by 0,04% or otherwise by 5 cents.
If not for last year's 7:1 stock split, the stock would be worth $854,14 right now. Apple however, decided to split its shares last year in order to attract the attention of other potential investors and give them the opportunity to purchase a larger number of shares. For Apple it is also a remarkable result from a historical point of view, as only 2 decades ago it was on the verge of bankruptcy. Shares of First Solar also took a hit after the Tim Cook at yesterday's conference announced cooperation in building a gigantic solar farm in California.
