SapphireThe Re/code server reports that GT Advanced Technologies has asked the court for permission to shut down a sapphire factory located in Arizone. This is a factory, the construction and equipment of which was paid for by the company Apple, which entered into a partnership with GT Advanced in the belief that the supplier would be able to produce millions of sapphire lenses for iPhone 6 to iPhone 6 Plus. However, this did not happen, and it seems that it never will, as GTAT was the only company capable of making slides as durable as he initially imagined Apple.

The plant's shutdown would come less than a year after the partnership with the company was announced Apple. More details about this are not known today, since GT Advanced asked the court to keep this information confidential because it contains information about the agreement of GT Advanced with a third party that is a company Apple. Company Apple understandably, she's not too happy about the decision and has announced that she will work to save jobs in Ariz.one. The next court hearing will be held on October 15 in Springfield, Massachusetts, to decide whether the company can suspend operations at the plant.
