Cooperation between Apple and U2 is currently deeper than ever, and the pair already "announced" it by gifting 500 million users with U2's "Songs of Innocence" album. Although he did not please everyone and Apple soon released a tool to remove the album from Apple ID, as well as announced numbers related to this album. However, the collaboration does not end only with the team, but according to Time magazine, the pair are working on a new music format that can increase sales of digital music in the iTunes store at a time when mostly free streaming services are coming to the fore.
However, this is a very secret project and no one knows yet what music format it will be. But Bono says it will be such an irresistibly exciting project that it will convince music fans to start buying music again - whether albums or individual tracks. Apple has been trying to change the trend for two years, but so far unsuccessfully, which has been reflected in stagnant digital music sales. Apple first announced the iTunes Radio service, but it is closely tied to the iTunes Store Store and serves more as a supplement, which we don't hear much about today.
Streaming services, which are often free or require the user to pay a small license fee for unlimited access to a huge number of songs, are currently on the rise, and this is reflected in the decline in sales - as already confirmed by Nielsen SoundScan, they fell in the first half of 2014 alone sales of digital music albums by 15% compared to last year and there was also a decrease in sales of digital songs by 13%. The popularity of streaming services, on the other hand, increased by 42%.
Let them give 10c per song/1euro for an album and I'd rather buy music.
Progreat music :-) and high sound quality )))
I have a question, does it work for you? ios8 answer the right ones through the locked screen? A message appears and I can't answer it from the locked screen :( any instructions on how to set it up? Thanks
Swipe left on the control.
I see it differently. Today's people have music only as a pile of dung to fill the background and half-empty lives. Since the music quality of the mainstream (that's the point) is completely miserable today, it doesn't even make sense to buy it. Where are the times when the whole album was excellent, you didn't know which song was better. Today, you can't find out if one was worth the price of the album, or better said, was it worth the time spent listening to it.
Appletomas: And you have to have (logically) set the right directions in your head (so you know what you're answering).
And what? Applu prevents the introduction of a streaming service like Spotify. Apple as an innovator and pioneer, he should have introduced it first, in negotiations with the recording industry he would certainly have a much better negotiating position than the new companies that were still starting at the time. They just fell asleep, contentedly resting on their laurels.
