Company Apple today, after months of testing, released the final version of OS X 10.9.2 Mavericks, which brings a fix for the SSL bug that was iOS done Apple already last Friday with the release iOS 7.0.6. The flaw allowed an attacker to bypass SSL/TLS security through authentication, allowing the attacker to monitor communication between the user and the web server. This could allow the attacker to capture, for example, email or online banking login details. It could also infect the computer with malware.

In addition to this fix, OS X 10.9.2 also brings FaceTime Audio, i.e. the possibility to make a call via FaceTime only audio calls, which in the case of iOS brought version iOS 7. Also new are the options to block iMessage and FaceTime calls. Another expected new feature that OS X 10.9.2 also brings is a fix for a problem with loading messages in the Mail application. Of course, the stability and general security of OS X are also improved. The update is recommended for all OS X users.

Apple also released security updates for Mountain Lion and Lion, i.e. OS X 10.8 and OS X 10.7
