Apple is apparently preparing for a much bigger revolution in the smart home than it seemed just a few days ago. Just yesterday, we informed you that the Californian giant has joined forces with LG to develop smart locks, thermostats, security cameras and other accessories for HomeKit. Subsequently, the first images of the upcoming products were leaked, thanks to which we got a fairly good idea of their design. However, it now turns out that LG will probably not be the only manufacturer with which Apple is collaborating on the next generation of its smart home. According to a recent leak, another company is also preparing similar accessories.

As an elderly user of a smart home, which is built on HomeKitWell, I have to say that the vast majority of smart phones are already home accessories at a great level in terms of functionality and therefore I can't think of any added value Applem will offer "guarded" products. But who knows, maybe we will all be pleasantly surprised by how far reliability and integration into the system can be pushed.
