iPhone 18 Pro (Max) although it looks almost the same as last year's iPhone 17 Pro (Max), however, upon closer inspection you may notice, for example, a narrower Dynamic Islandu, which slightly increased the display area of the device. The reduction was achieved by Apple cleverly hiding part Face ID to the upper left corner of the display, or rather below it, which allowed him to Dynamic Island narrow it and free up space on its sides, for example for wider use of Live Activities or if you want Live ActivitiesFrom time to time, however, I come across posts in discussion forums and social networks from users who say this change is Face ID a step back, because it makes face unlocking work much worse than it did before. But as someone who used every iPhone s Dynamic IslandI definitely cannot agree with the cutout of the model, and indeed many models, at that time.

In recent weeks, there have been a number of posts on social media about the Face ID na iPhone 18 Pro (Max) is simply much less reliable and is not able to recognize the user as well as it was with previous model generations. Because of this, users allegedly have to use the phone's numeric code much more often, which is of course annoying for them and therefore also a trigger for criticism. However, based on my own experience, I can say with a clear conscience that the reliability Face ID it absolutely did not suffer from its reworking.

iPhone 18 Pro LsA 11

Over the past two weeks, what iPhone 18 Pro I use it as my primary phone literally for several hours a day, and I have never noticed any major problems with unlocking it, or authorizing anything with my face. I use the phone exactly the same as previous generations, except that I also use the numeric code just as often when I need to. Face ID for some reason it won't work. Moreover, the phone has absolutely no problem recognizing my face, nor my wife's face, whose scan I have in my iPhone saved as an alternative appearance, for example for payment via Apple Pay and so on. We also "switch" our phones quite often, so it recognized both me and my wife in various situations, under different types of light, and so on.

Sure, from time to time it happens that the phone doesn't recognize me for some reason or instead Face ID wants to open it immediately with a numeric code. But I certainly can't say that this is something that would be much more common than I was used to with previous generations. So if you come across rumors on the Internet that Apple worsened Face ID by partially placing it under the display, know that this is probably a common hoax, which the internet is full of. In my opinion, when using the phone normally, you have absolutely no problemancand feel that there is anything different in this regard.
