When Rockstar Games introduced something like a collector's collection for GTA 6 a few days ago, many were shocked by the price tag set at $399,99, especially since this price does not include the game itself. But to be fair, it should be added that the collector's collection also offers some really nice items related to GTA 6, with one of the most striking pieces being undoubtedly a figurine of the pink alligator Macca the Gator, who appears as the mascot of the TV show from the world of GTA 6. If you liked this figurine too, but you don't want to buy a collector's edition for it, I have good news for you. All you have to do is "heat up" your 3D printer and print it at home.

It didn't take long for someone to recreate the Macca the Gator figure as a 3D model designed specifically for home printing, and I have to say, the result is a fairly faithful imitation of the original from the official Rockstar collection. Of course, you need to take into account that in addition to the 3D printer, you will need filament and if you want the result to be as close to the original as possible, you will also have to paint it. However, the Macca itself can cost you a fraction of the price of the official collection.

Pink alligator for $400

The figure itself is just as bizarre as you'd expect from GTA. Macca the Gator is a bright pink alligator dressed in a blue shirt, holding a joint in one hand and a martini glass in the other. GamesRadar even speculates that his deliberately kitschy appearance could be a classic rock star parody of various TV mascots. But whatever Macca is intended for, he's clearly found his fans. Otherwise, no one would have taken the time to turn him into a 3D-printable model.

It's fair to say, though, that $400 doesn't just get you the alligator itself. Grand Theft Auto 6: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection includes, for example, Oakley Frogskins sunglasses, a cap, a crossbody bag, a double-sided map, a glass, stickers, a razor-shaped key chain, and a metal cocktail spoon. The last-named item, by the way, refers to a similar promotional spoon created years ago for GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony, which has now become a fairly expensive collector's item. What you won't find in the package, however, is GTA 6 itself, which you'll have to buy separately.

The high price tag combined with the absence of the game caused quite a mixed reaction among fans after the collection was introduced. Some resellers even immediately started trying to offer it for around $800 to $1500, at a time when it was still normally available directly from Rockstar. NakoneHowever, stocks have actually sold out, which makes similar fan-friendly alternatives even more sense.

So if you're a GTA 6 fan and the crazy pink alligator from the entire collection caught your eye, you don't necessarily have to hunt for the original from dealers. With a 3D printer, some filament and skilled hands, you can make Macca the Gator yourself. Of course, it won't be an original collector's item, but it can look just as crazy on the shelf. I'll definitely start printing over the weekend and I hope that it will turn out to be something that will make me happy on my desk for at least a while.
