Next week, the Czech Republic will face another election. On Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10, 2026, municipal elections will take place, along with the first round of Senate elections in selected districts. On Friday, polling stations will be open from 14:00 PM to 22:00 PM, and on Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 14:00 PM. So, if you have your ID card saved in the eDoklady application, you can also use it at the polling station. MiniHowever, the Ministry of Justice, together with the Digital and Information Agency, recommends preparing yourself before you arrive at the electoral commission. First of all, you need to have the current version of the eDoklady application installed. During the last 48 hours before visiting the polling station, it is advisable to open the application with an internet connection and check whether the document displays the information "Digital statement is valid". The data in the digital document must not be older than 48 hours when verified.
