According to analysts, the main problem with price increases is, unsurprisingly, memory chips, with the price of a 256GB memory chip, for example, increasing by almost 400% year-on-year, and the total production costs for 256GB Pro model are expected to be roughly 38% higher than a year ago. Apple moreover, they are competing for production capacity with the huge demand from AI infrastructure.
