And this is where the new leak gets really interesting. If LEGO is indeed preparing Helm's Deep for around $500, it will be a completely different category of kit. For a similar amount, fans could get a build that is several times larger and more detailed than the 2012 kit. Current speculation even suggests more than 6,000 pieces, although this figure cannot yet be considered confirmed. And if LEGO really does go this route, I wouldn't be surprised if the new product ranks among the largest LEGO Lord of the Rings kits ever.
The Lord of the Rings is set to go full steam ahead in LEGO
Helm's Deep won't be the only new addition, as previous leaks suggest that LEGO is preparing more Lord of the Rings sets for 2027, with the iconic war elephant among the projects mentioned. OlifantIt should reportedly be released on January 1st next year, although no confirmation has yet been received from the Danish kit giant.
The revival of the LOTR universe makes quite a lot of sense. LEGO returned to the Lord of the Rings in 2023 with the giant Rivendell, followed by Barad-dûr a year later. The series is clearly not a one-off and LEGO still has a lot to offer in Middle-earth. In addition, the premiere of the new film The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum is scheduled for December 2027, so it is clear that LEGO will want to "live off" the whole fuss as much as possible.

The design is not bad. But there are more rocks than buildings themselves, I mainly miss the critical drainage channel, otherwise a nice visualization. I'm looking forward to the original.

As we know LEGO kits, there will be 8-10 figures for this price and the number of pieces will be the classic bricks/plates 1×1, 1×2. In Minas Tirith, the orcs were just part of the GWP, so why not do it here too. 😂
