About that Apple is preparing a completely new MacBook Ultra, has been speculated for several years. However, it seems that its premiere isoneis getting closer. According to the latest information, the new laptop is already being tested internally with macOS 27.1 and Apple Thanks to this, it is aiming for a launch this fall, or possibly at the beginning of 2027. Let's therefore be clear about what the world expects from it.

Completely new design

The biggest change is to be the completely redesigned design. Apple reportedly preparing the biggest redesign of professional MacBooks from 2021. A thinner body, a more modern look, and further reduction of the bezels around the display are expected.

OLED display

After years of waiting, they have MacBookykoneto move from Mini-LED to OLED panels. These will offer perfect black, higher contrast, more vibrant colors and at the same time lower power consumption. This could also extend battery life. A side effect of the transition is that what you see on iPhone, you'll actually see 1:1 on the Mac thanks to identical displays, which is definitely nice.

Dotykové ovladani

One of the biggest innovations is supposed to be the first touchscreen in history MacBookat. Apple Although he claimed for years that touch control does not belong on a laptop, according to current leaks, he has reconsidered his position. Because of the touch control, there will probably be some new surface treatment of the display, which will try to prevent excessive smudges and so on. It is the touch control support that I personally look forward to the most, given that I had the opportunity to use a computer with a touch screen years ago and it was often a really useful option.

New macOS capabilities

Of course, hand in hand with touch support also comes new macOS features, including: Apple according to available information, it works. Although many details are not yet available, there is general talk, for example, of two "operating" modes of macOS, which the computer will automatically switch based on whether the user is controlling it by touch or via connected peripherals, i.e. the built-in keyboard and trackpad.

14″ and 16″ varianty

Just like today MacBooky Pro Two sizes are planned. Internally they are referred to as K114 and K116, i.e. 14" and 16" variaHowever, it is possible that the dimensions of the computer will change. Apple For example, it can further narrow the bezels around their displays, creating a more modern design while also removing a few millimeters from the sides.

More powerful chips

It is not yet clear what processors Apple will use. The most common speculation is about chips M6 Pro and M6 Max, which are intended to offer a further significant increase in performance and efficiency. The name itself Ultra would not necessarily indicate the chip used, but a new product line. After all, in i MacBook"Pro" does not indicate "Pro"just the chip that beats in them, because you can currently configure them with either Pro, so with Max chip.

Longer battery life

The combination of an OLED display, more energy-efficient chips, and a new design should bring further improvements in battery life. Although specific numbers have not yet been released, battery life is expected to be one of the main advantages of the new generation.

Kone5G?

Extremely interesting news, which quite possibly Apple pulls out of its sleeve, may be support for mobile data connection via 5G networks. 5G support for Macs has been speculated for quite some time, and the completely redesigned MacBook Ultra is therefore a perfect candidate for the premiere of this solution. Apple In addition, it is making progress in its C-series modems, which are used specifically for receiving mobile data, so it would not be surprising if we see eSIM in MacBooku Ultra, which will ensure the ability to work without the need for a hotspot or Wi-Fi, has arrived.

When will it arrive and how much will it cost?

The date of the performance is the biggest question. According to the latest information Apple is still targeting fall 2026, with internal testing with macOS 27.1 suggesting a possible premiere as early as late October. If development were delayed, it could MacBook Ultra to be discovered only in early 2027.

The price is not yet known, but it is already clear that this will be the most premium laptop on offer. AppleIt can therefore be expected to rank above the current MacBooky Pro and the price tag will match its status.
