Although this year's update to Apple's systems is primarily in the spirit of artificial intelligence, the native Weather app for iOS 27 you would be searching in vain for new AI features. Apple focused here instead on practical improvements the user interface itself, thanks to which all key meteorological information is now clearer and more accessible at a glance.

Everything important right at your fingertips

Right at the top of the app, there is now a special section with the most important daily reports, which immediately serves you the most important information for the day. The current conditions section has also undergone a fundamental change. In addition to the classic hourly temperature report, you can now seamlessly switch to a detailed display of precipitation or wind. While the first option shows the probability of rain hour by hour, the second varianta offers an accurate breakdown of current wind speed.

Smart prediction and giant widgety

This new way of switching also applies very cleverly to the long-term view. The ten-day forecast automatically adapts to the type of data you have selected in the hourly graph. This way, you can easily see detailed developments in precipitation or wind conditions for more than a week ahead without having to open a more detailed view. Great news for iPhone customization enthusiasts is the support for a brand new extra-large format for the home screen. You can now add a widget with the weather, which, with its gigantic dimensions, can take up an entire page with applications.
