Apple is preparing not just another iteration of the iPhone for 2027, but something that has the ambition to push the entire concept of the device a step further. And this time it is no longer just about hardware or software separately – but about their complete connection. At least, this is what more and more sources, led by the most qualified, claim.
According to very reliable reporter Mark Gurman of BloombergThe 20th anniversary of the iPhone is set to feature a new design internally dubbed “Glasswing.” The name refers to a butterfly with transparent wings, and that’s exactly the effect it has. Apple to be brought into reality. Specifically, it is to be a modern iPhone, which appears like a glass object without clearly separated edges.

The basis is to be a display that gently bends on all four sides and virtually eliminates bezels. The result is a device that does not feel like a "phone with a display", but rather like one continuous glass unit. What is extremely interesting is that the new Liquid Glass design style in iOS 26 is to be designed exactly to blend in visually with this hardware. In other words – what was once just a UI should now feel like a natural extension of the device itself.
According to Gurman, this is of course not a coincidence, but a long-term strategy. Apple wants to push the integration of hardware and software even further than before and if it succeeds, iPhone It will no longer act as a device with a display, but as a single unit, where the boundary between glass and system will virtually disappear.

It is also interesting that there was initially speculation about a separate "anniversary iPhone". However, more recent information suggests that we will see a redesign of the entire Pro series within iPhone Pro. But in the end, this makes perfect sense, because it Apple will expand the new design style to multiple models at once, which they will be able to use later to redesign other pieces.
If all these leaks are confirmed, 2027 could be the year for iPhone one of those years when not only the appearance will change, but also the very way we perceive it. So let's hope that this will really happen. iPhone It's been a bit boring in recent years, and all similar leaks of information are all the more pleasing as a result.
well, I'm curious how it will look like when the cover is cracked on the phone and the edge glass is glued on.
It won't be here, it will only be for other markets and here it will just be a different-looking phone without those features :) for 99%.
How much will it cost?
