Netflix is ​​increasing its prices in the Czech Republic!

Netflix is ​​once again reaching into the wallets of Czech users. According to current information, the streaming giant has adjusted the prices of its subscriptions in our market as well, and this time, practically no one will escape the price increase. And if you thought that we were already at the price ceiling, reality will probably quickly disabuse you. The first users from the Czech Republic have already received an information email in which they learned that prices will increase in the coming weeks. New users will now pay more for tariffs than before. Prices are increasing for all three types of subscriptions, with the price differing by tens of crowns compared to the previous prices. The basic version, which offers the lowest image quality and a limit on the number of devices in the household, used to cost 239 CZK, now it is 259 CZK. Medium varianta, the so-called Netflix Standard, then increased in price from 309 CZK to 339 CZK, and the most expensive Netflix Premium costs 40K CZK more than the standard, so instead of 379 CZK you will pay 419 CZK per month.

The last time Netflix raised prices was a year and a half ago, in October 2024, and since then it has been doing quite well and in the fourth quarter of last year alone it reported a net profit after tax of $2,42 billion. Paradoxically, the price increase does not harm Netflix in any way. On the contrary. In the Czech Republic, it still holds a dominant position and is among the most used streaming services ever, with a market share of around 27%. People may complain, but they do not really want to cancel their subscriptions. Netflix still has the strongest library of series and films, which the competition has a hard time catching up with.
