Expectations were fulfilled. Apple because a little while ago through press release officially introduced iPhone 17e as a compromise for those who don't want to spend on Pro models. However, it should be said at the outset that miniIn terms of design, it may be disappointing for many, as it does not bring many leakery predicted Dynamic Island and the price of this model has not changed year-on-year either. It is at least pleasing to note that after last year's choice of only two colors (black and white), pink is now also available this year.
At the heart of the phone is the new A19 chip manufactured with 3nm technology, which promises not only higher performance but also better efficiency. This is the same chip that you will find in iPhone 17. In practice, the phone should provide intergenerational greater agility, better preparedness for Apple Intelligence even more demanding applications and at the same time longer battery life. Incidentally, this is also due to the new C1X modem from the workshop Applu, which is up to twice as fast as the C1 in the iPhone 16e and yet more energy-efficient than the solution in the iPhone 16 Pro.
The good news is undoubtedly the support for fast charging via USB-C, which can charge the battery to 50% in about half an hour. However, what is perhaps even more important is the deployment of the much-praised MagSafe with support for up to 15W wireless charging. Personally, I think it's a bit of a shame that it wasn't there. Apple bolder and did not directly implement Qi2.2 support and therefore up to 25W wireless charging, as is the case with iPhones 17 (Pro), however, even "just" 15W is definitely nice after last year's lack of MagSafe support.

The big draw is undoubtedly the 48MP Fusion camera, which will offer 2x optical quality zoom, a solution that essentially simulates a second telephoto lens. Apple It further pushes the philosophy of “less hardware, more smart processing” and from the perspective of the average user, it simply works. Photos can be taken in full 48MP resolution, or in the default 24MP for the ideal ratio of quality and file size. There are also more advanced portraits with more natural blur, automatic recognition of people and pets and the ability to adjust the depth of field after the picture is taken.
The video then handles 4K. Dolby Vision up to 60 fps, surround sound for playback on, for example, AirPods or Apple Vision Pro and improved wind noise suppression. The front protects Ceramic Shield 2 with up to three times better scratch resistance than the previous generation and a 6,1″ Super Retina The XDR OLED display will offer brightness of up to 1200 nits in HDR. Of course, it is Face ID, action button and satellite functions including emergency SOS, messages or location sharing via Find My out of signal range.
And perhaps most interestingly, the base capacity starts at 256GB for $599, double the storage compared to the previous generation while maintaining the same starting price tag. At a time when photos and videos are swelling every year, this is miniSlightly increasing the basic storage while maintaining the same cell is a relatively pleasant step towards customers. iPhone The 17e doesn't seem like a poorer sibling, but rather a relatively rational choice for those who want a modern iPhone for years to come, but they don't need the very top of the range. Compared to the iPhone 16e, this is definitely a solid step forward that can keep pace with the iPhones 17. However, the price could certainly be even lower considering the equipment.

Who misses it? Dynamic Island? I'm 17 and I don't use it.
I guess that's the only thing that bothers me about mine. MaxIt's annoying. It extends deeper into the display than the notch. And those who praise it for its functions and animations probably didn't realize that the notch would handle it just as well😅
