Smart rings are often described by many as a dead-end technology, a waste of time, or a geeky thing with no real use. However, the more I personally use a smart ring, the more I find this device interesting and, dare I say, indispensable. The reason is simple – if you listen to it,chat, you can use it to improve your everyday life. And that's what technology is all about.

I too have been avoiding smart rings for quite some time, which may be a bit strange in my case as a tech enthusiast and someone who writes about technology for a living. The reason was simple – I simply didn’t see any added value in smart rings compared to a smartwatch. Apple Watch. However, as time went on and smart rings continued to improve, I became more and more interested in them and gradually started to like them. And after trying out a few cheap models, led by Alligator Ring, which convinced me of their usefulness, I switched to a significantly heavier caliber in the form of Ultrahuman Ring Air, which I've had on my hand for about 8 months now and I don't plan on taking it off anytime soon. It's becoming more and more useful.

Ultrahuman is constantly improving its accompanying application of the same name, from which a person learns more and more, more or less interesting information about their body. And if they are willing to "pay attention" to this informationchat", then he is truly able to change his life for the better. The data measured by the ring can be very easily linked to what a person is doing or has done and based on that, you can adjust your habits. For example, you will better understand how caffeine "works" and why you may have had a harder time falling asleep in recent days, even though you had coffee a few hours before going to bed and therefore think it no longer affects you. Or you may have had a bad night's sleep when you were really tired.

I'm not saying that a person can't come up with the answers to these questions themselves using common sense, but the data measured through the ring is luxuriously presented to you in the app, and thanks to the fact that you can view it even in the long term, you will better understand how a given thing works on your body. In other words, if you have several potentially disturbing elements before going to bed and you have no idea which one might be making you sick, thanks to the app you can better find the cause, because while one doesn't affect you, the other probably does and therefore needs to be avoided. And it doesn't matter if it's a heavy meal or if you go to bed later than usual, or whether you had a light meal but later than you're used to. In short, you can easily reach your goal thanks to the app and the data, which you can browse very clearly. The app will alert you to many things on its own.

It's not "just" about discovering what could potentially be bad for you and then avoiding it. Thanks to the data that the ring measures, you can better understand your body as a whole, along with the processes that affect it, both positively and negatively. For example, you will get a better idea of what affects your sleep and why you may have had a bad night's sleep. Thanks to this, you can then improve your sleep, for example by simply lowering the temperature in your bedroom and so on, because the application will try to give you a few tips on what could have caused the problem. You will soon see how your body improves in many ways just because you have changed just a little and now you feel better.

A very interesting insight into the application is also after you consciously violate your established standards and, for example, go to bed late. This disruption of your routine will immediately affect the quality of the measured metrics and you will suddenly understand why you feel worse than usual the next day. And if you drink some alcohol before going to bed, an even more interesting spectacle awaits you. Personally, I do not drink alcohol, but in the summer I will not forgive myself a beer with friends in the evening. And although we usually end maxideally four to five drinks spread over a longer period of time, which makes you feel de facto sober at the end of the drink. Just look at the measured data in the app and you will immediately find out how much alcohol has a major impact on your body. And we are not talking about five beers that can make you dizzy, but even one or two in front of the TV in the evening - the quality of sleep is significantly impaired by even a small amount of alcohol and the body suffers. And thanks to the ring, you will fully realize how much.

So, if you are interested in everything about how your body works and are also a tech geek like me, I think a quality smart ring could be an interesting gadget for you that you will enjoy. I can definitely recommend it for myself. Ultrahuman Ring Air as a truly comprehensive solution for monitoring a lot of things. But there are many other interesting rings on the market and I am convinced that they will also be really good in this regard. Whichever one you decide on, I believe that this still young technology can interest you as much as it did me.
