WhatsApp is working on a new feature that would give users more control over what others can do with their messages and shared media. As reported by WaBetaInfo, a feature called "advanced privacy in chatu" is currently available in beta application version for iOS and brings several changes. The most important new feature is the ability to block other members of the conversation from exporting the entire chatoutside WhatsAppIf the user activates this function, within the group chateveryone else will see a notification that the advanced privacy feature has been turned on. The feature also disables the presence of Meta AI, which is an integrated chatMeta's bot, with which users in some regions canonecommunicate directly in chatu.

Another crucial element concerns media. If the function is active, images and videos that are in chatu will not automatically save to other users' galleries, even if they have the "auto-save media" option turned on. However, it is not clear whether the feature will also prevent manual saving. While the new setting will prevent the export of your entire message history, users can still forward or take screenshots of individual messages. WhatsApp but it reminds that security can be further enhanced by turning on disappearing messages, which will automatically delete themselves after a set period of time. It is not yet clear when and if this feature will be available to all users. WhatsApp is currently testing it in a closed environment beta version. What do you think of the news?
