The thrilling saga of TikTok's operation in the US continues. After the Chinese company ByteDance heeded the order of the American authorities to terminate the operation of the application in the US and on Saturday evening local time shut down TikTok in the country, but has now started to operate it again. The reason is simple - the accession of the new President Donald Trump, who has already made it clear in the past that he is counting on miniofficially, saying that the ban on TikTok in the US will be postponed for 90 days.

Although Trump has commented on the issue of TikTok's operation in the past, stating that he expects to extend its functionality in the US miniByteD decided to delay the order by at least 90 days, given that the court order took effect before its inauguration.ance application in the USA foreventto shut it down and avoid any further legal battles. Yesterday, Trump announced that he would issue an executive order on Monday to allow TikTok to operate in the US again, after which ByteD beganancThe app's operation in the US is slowly starting up again. Now, many Americans are using TikTok again.

The catch, however, is that Apple deleted the app from the US immediately after TikTok was blocked App Store, while Google did the same in the store Google PlayAnd although TikTok is now back up and running, it can't be restored, like many other deleted apps from ByteD.ance will be removed from app stores in the US. Although Trump promised that restoring apps to stores before his order was issued would not be prosecuted as obstruction of justice, it appears that Apple wants to have in this direction 100% certainty and is waiting to see how the situation develops, while Google is also handling the whole matter in the same way.

It will be extremely interesting to see how the whole situation around TikTok develops in the coming days and months, and how much Trump decides to get involved. However, the current court ruling is that TikTok, due to concerns about Chinese espionage against the US, must not operate in the United States (until Trump issues an order), or its American part must be sold to an American (or other) company with no ties to China. In the past, potential buyers have included Elon Musk, who is now a close friend of Donald Trump. It is therefore possible that the new US president is already acting in Musk's interests.
