Mapy.cz remains free in the basic version
Even though a premium version is coming, the basic Mapy.cz mode will continue to be completely free for all users and nothing will change for them when using it in online mode. Mapy.cz will thus remain a reliable helper, whether people are looking for a route for a trip, a restaurant in their area or going to a business meeting. In offline mode, users without the premium version will only be able to actively use a map for one country including all regions. However, they can freely change this according to their needs whenever they are online.
Mapy.cz will offer the most active members of the community a Premium version for free
Contributors will now be able to see directly in the application how many ratings, photos or kilometers they have added with navigation in the last year, what new places they have discovered and which data they have helped to correct. " We appreciate the support of our community, which helps us create Mapy.cz. That is why we decided to give the five thousand most active ones a discount and offer them Premium for free ," says Martin Jeřábek, manager of the Mapy.cz team.
" We believe that premium features will be of importance and benefit not only to users from the Czech Republic. Mapy.cz is better than competing foreign services in many ways, thanks to the huge and active community that helps us make it a world-class service. We have invested millions of crowns in the development and operation of Mapy.cz in the last few years alone. We are proud that together with our fans we are creating a service of world parameters, " explains Martin Jeřábek.
A smartwatch app is planned
Mapy.cz wants to offer several new functions to its users right next year. One of them is a smart watch app Apple Watch a Wear OS, which is supported on watches, for example Samsung Galaxy Watch, on some Xiaomi watch models, Tic Watch or One Plus Watch.
Another upcoming feature will be especially appreciated by lovers of mountains and distant views. Mapy.cz is working on its own version of a function that will be able to recognize peaks on the horizon. This is currently offered by the paid application Peak Finder.
"Our fans can also look forward to the possibility of supporting premium features and purchasing a subscription via the web interface, sharing location, or expanding route planning to include another mode of transport. We are preparing news for cyclists, motorists, and those who prefer public transport ," Martin Jeřábek introduces the planned news, adding that next year users will learn which of these new features all users can look forward to and which will be in the premium version.
It annoys me, but the set conditions are acceptable. I have no reason to pay for the maps yet, but if there was an interesting feature, I wouldn't have a problem with it. While I usually have a negative view of charging for services, here it doesn't bother me much and I'm willing to pay if necessary. Mapy.cz is a very useful application and I much prefer it to any competition.
So I uninstalled the application after months of non-use and unnecessary use, and nothing happened nesthello And that there are enough idiots who constantly annoy you and subconsciously force you to do something in the world today 😃
