Microsoft has not been having a great time lately. After recently being criticized (albeit unfairly) for causing a system outage short-term collapse of the IT world, now they have to deal with another problem. Security experts from Cisco Talos have warned that through applications Microsoftfor macOS, led by Microsoft Outlook or Teams can be eavesdropped and monitored by hackers.

As Microsoft is currently working on a fix, security experts could not be completely specific, lest it help hackers potentially increase their activity - even though CISCO itself considers the flaw to be relatively low-risk, as it is relatively difficult to reproduce. However, we do know that the vulnerability in applications could, in a worst-case scenario, allow a hacker to gain access to a Mac's microphone and camera without the user's consent. As a result, attackers could listen tochat audio recording from the microphone, or even watching the image from the camera, which could allow them to access sensitive information. Microsoft although he has already started to address the whole issue, as he has already managed to release updates for Teams or OneNote, however, for example Excel, Power point, Word or Outlook are still waiting for a fix. So all we can do is hope that everything can be fixed Microsoft process as soon as possible and using Macs with these applications will become possible again 100% safely.
