The biggest news that Apple at this year's WWDC introduced and which will be part of all major operating systems released this fall is undoubtedly Apple Intelligence. Custom artificial intelligence from Applu will arrive in the USA on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Unfortunately, we are out of luck in the EU, regardless of which EU member state we live in or how we set up our devices. Apple in short, AI has to be blocked in the EU due to legislative issues. It really DOES matter what language you use on your iPhone use, Apple In short, AI will not work for you if you are in the EU. Now, however, it seems that for all of us living in the EU, there has been a glimmer of hope after all, albeit very limited so far.
The release notes for the developer betas of the new systems state that iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 the following: "Apple Intelligence is available at iPhone 15 Pro a iPhone 15 Pro Max. Apple Intelligence "is not currently available in the EU or China" However, the note for macOS Sequia states: "Apple Intelligence is available on Macs with M1 and later. Apple Intelligence is not currently available in China.” The EU is omitted in this note and the difference between the two notes is obvious. While on iOS and the iPad won't arrive Apple Intelligence neither in China nor in the EU, in the case of Mac, only China is mentioned.
The reason is quite clear, Mac computers are not subject to the same rules in the EU as iPhone and iPad. The reason why Apple cannot bring in its current form Apple AI to the EU is the Digital Markets Act, the so-called DMA. This actoneHowever, only iPhones and iPads are affected, not Macs, which are a minority issue in the EU, so the EU should have no objection to Apple in the EU launched its AI on Mac. Of course we are talking about release notes beta operating system versions and Apple they can change with any new test version and we won't see AI on the Mac either, but so far it seems that AI from Applu will indeed arrive in Europe, but only on Mac.

I'd edit that headline, one device segment would be better... it looks like AI will only arrive on one type of mac :)
